  Obituary: WOOD Ivan Wood, Sr., 66, of Corpus Christi, died January 2, 1988 following a lengthy illness. He was born in Plattsburg, Mississippi and had lived in Corpus Christi for 42 years. His first wife of 42 years, Sibyl E. Wood, preceded him in death in October, 1982. He later married Ina Mae Wood, who preceded him in death on December 23, 1987 after three years of marriage. Mr. Wood served with the U.S. Navy for 22 years and retired as a Chief Petty Officer. He was retired from Employers Insurance Company. Survivors are his two sons and daughters-in-law, Ivan and Margaret-Ann Wood, Jr. of Houston, and Dr. Randy Pat and Liz Wood of Ventura, California; a daughter, Cassandra Rae Wood of Corpus Christi; two sisters, Bertha Simon of Mississippi, and Christine Kemp of Florida; two brothers, O. P. Wood of Florida, and Houston Wood of California; and four grandchildren, Ellen Stacy Wood, James Ivan Wood, Michael E. Wood, and Daniel S. Wood. Memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 1988 at St. John's United Methodist Church with Rev. David Edgar, Pastor, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Memorial Fund in Mr. Wood's name at St. John's United Methodist Church, 5300 South Alameda, Corpus Christi, TX 78412.
