  Obituary: Vernon Coldiron Vernon Eldridge Coldiron, 65, Olathe, died April 18, 1989, at Olathe Medical Center. Born Feb. 15, 1924, in Rockdale, Texas, he lived in Olathe for the past 3 1/2 years, and prior to that time lived in Lenexa. He was an auto mechanic for Kansas City Brake for 15 years and worked for Zarda Dairy 14 years. He retired in 1985. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star and Lions Club of Blue Mound; White Shrine of Fort Scott; was a 4-H leader in Wyandotte County; and attended Central Church of the Nazarene in Lenexa. Survivors include his wife, Jeanne Coldiron of the home; three sons, Bill Coldiron, Prairie Village, Rick Coldiron, San Diego, Calif., and Jerry Coldiron, Texas; a daughter, Cathy Coldiron, Overland Park; his parents, Eldon and Gertrude Coldiron of Rockdale; a sister, Ava Perrin of Rockdale; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at W.L. Frye & Son Funeral Home, Olathe with burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Overland Park. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
