• Notes

  Obituary: Funeral services for Johnnie J. Drgac of Caldwell will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the Caldwell Brethern Church. Drgac, 53, died Thursday in a Bryan hospital. The Rev. John J. Bravenec of the Caldwell Brethern Church will officiate. burial will be in the Caldwell Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Bowers-Harvey-Schiller Funeral Home of Caldwell. Drgac was born in Burleson County June 27, 1914, and was a lifetime resident of Cooks Point community. He was a dairy farmer, a member of the SPJST Lodge of Cooks Point and a member of the Caldwell Brethern Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ella M. Drgac; two sons, Lamar Drgac of Caldwell and Dennis Drgac of Cooks Point; one daughter, Mrs. Albert D. (Beverly) Mahlmann; two grandchildren; four brothers, Walter Drgac of San Angelo, William Drgac, Ed Drgac, Frank Drgac, all of Cooks Point; and six sisters, Mrs. Otto Meyer of Cameron, Mrs. John Kubena, Mrs. Frank Kubena, Mrs. Wilton Chaloupka, Mrs. Rudolph Luksa, and Mrs. Emil Urbanavsky, all of Cooks Point.
