      Frank Joseph Bednar
      September 10, 1907 - March 15, 1991

      CALDWELL - Funeral services for Frank Joseph Bednar, 83, of Caldwell will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in Caldwell Brethren Church.

      The Rev. Richard Stone will officiate. Burial will be in New Tabor Church Cemetery. Arrangements are by Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home.

      Mr. Bednar died Friday in a Houston hospital.

      Mr. Bednar was a lifelong resident of Burleson County, and was active in farming and ranching. He was a past member of the Board of Elders at Caldwell Brethren and was a member of the New Tabor SPJST Lodge No. 13.

      Mr. Bednar was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Joseph Bednar Sr. and Rosie Drgac.

      He is survived by his wife, Esther Bednar of Caldwell; a son and daughter-in-law, Hubert and Gladiola Bednar of Caldwell; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jay Hajdik of Houston; three sisters, Rosalie Marek of Caldwell, Millie George of Independence, Mo., and Lenora Payne of Austin; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
