    • Obituary:

      Rene Richard Rites Held Today at 9

      Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. today in the St. Michael Catholic Church for Rene "Boone" Richard, 77, who died on a rural road in Acadia Parish Sunday. Burial was held in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

      Survivors include his widow, the former Ellen Chandler of Crowley, three daughters, Mrs. Leo Trahan of Rayne, Mrs. C.J. Petitjean of New Iberia, and Mrs. Sue Harbour of Crowley; four brothers, E.P. Richard, Joseph Richard and J.B. Richard of Crowley, and Wilton Richard of Lafayette; three sisters, Mrs. Joe Hains of Baton Rouge, Mrs. J.B. Gaspard and Mrs. Milton Abshire of Lake Charles, and four grandchildren.

      Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

      Services For Rene Richard Held In Crowley

      Funeral services for Rene "Boone" Richard 77, of Crowley, were held in St. Michael's Church there at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

      Burial followed in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Crowley with Geesey-Ferguson Funertal Home in charge.

      Mr. Richard was well-known in Rayne where he and his family had resided a number of years ago.

      Survivors include his widow, the former Ellen Chandler of Crowley; three daughters, Mrs. Leo Trahan of Rayne, Mrs. C.J.
