      David Romero
      November 2, 1950 - June 14, 2024

David C. Romero, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died of brain cancer on Friday, June 14th, 2024, at the age of 73. David was born in Beaumont, TX on November 2, 1950 to Clobus and Mary Romero. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University and then faithfully served his country as a Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force until his retirement in 2002 after 25 years of service. He began his second chapter in life with a career working for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice as a Lieutenant of Corrections Officers, obtaining an Associate of Arts degree in Culinary Arts from the Art Institute of Houston and marrying the love of his life, Sheila ("squirrel"). The two retired to Conroe, TX, where David enjoyed nurturing their beautiful yard, cooking, baking, woodworking (including amazing holiday yard displays), planning trips to Disney World, reading the latest science fiction novels, and showering his granddaughter with love and gifts. He leaves behind wife Sheila, daughter Laila, son-in-law Josh, granddaughter Isabella, and his cats, Simba and Simon.
