      Cecil James Crow
      November 27, 1940 - August 24, 2024

Cecil James Crow, 83 of Colorado City passed away peacefully in the Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock with his loving family by his side on Saturday, August 24, 2024

He was born in Westbrook, Texas on November 27, 1940 to Claude Cecil and Clara Francis Wagner Crow.

Cecil was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, having joined at the age of 17 spending 10 years total serving his country. He was a great husband and father and a wonderful grandfather, always making sure to provide for his family. After his time in the military Cecil held many jobs in the construction field until retiring as a Road Construction Foreman for Mitchell County. He was the type of man who never met a stranger as he had a knack for meeting new people and sharing many captivating stories that would leave the listeners silent until the end, sometimes throwing a great joke into them with his witty sense of humor. In his younger days he enjoyed riding horses, especially in races. In his spare time when Cecil wasn't doing something with his family he enjoyed playing and singing country music on his guitar, dancing, golfing, doing wood work, being on his computer, and watching golf and bull riding. The lessons taught and memories shared will be cherished by all who loved him.

Cecil is survived by his loving wife Sue Crow of Colorado City, by a son David Crow and wife Melissa of Brownwood, by daughters Julie Crow and partner Robert Mercado of Meadow, Laurie Camp and husband Dondi of Colorado City, and Tracy Klempa and husband Miki of Plano, as well as by grandchildren Lindsey Peavy, Ashlyn Linares, McKenzie Kildow, Talon Camp, Adon Camp, Meghan Mercado, Seth Toland, Dalton Toland, and Chase Toland, and by great grandchildren Indigo Linares and Killian Toland. He is also survived by his sister Mona McBrayer.

He was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Clara Crow and by a grandson James David Crow.

A graveside service will be held in the Colorado City Cemetery on Tuesday, August 27th at 10 with pallbearers being Chase Toland, Seth Toland, Talon Camp, Adan Camp, Jackson Turbeville, Jacob Linares, and Conner Ostrander.

The family will be present for a visitation in the Kiker Seale Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 26th from 6-8pm
