Virgil Wayne Sistrunk

A graveside service for Virgil Wayne Sistrunk, 81, will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Forest Park West Cemetery, 4000 Meriwether Rd., Shreveport, Louisiana. Officiating the service will be Rev. Megan Twyman.
Virgil grew up in Mitchell, Louisiana. He worked for AT&T before retiring. He was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher at Ben Davis Class at St. Luke's. He was a member of Mensa and an accomplished musician where he played the flute.
Virgil is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Sistrunk.
Special thanks to his neighbor, John Hines, and friends at St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
The family suggests memorials may be made to St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
