  Obituary: GROVES - John Alvin Meaux, 57, of 3801 Graves died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at Mid-Jefferson County Hospital. He was a native of Kaplan, La., and a Port Arthur-Groves area resident for 40 years. He retired from Texaco where he worked as a supervisor. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and a Army veteran. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Martin Enderle officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife, Wanda Nunez; two sons, Dwight Edward of Nederland and Gary Stephen of Houston; a daughter, Leslie Rose of Beaumont; four brothers, Piere of Beaumont, Paul and Robert, both of Lafayette, La., and Joseph O. of Kaplan; three sisters, Sed Marcantel of Groves, Annette LeBouef of Kaplan and Gloria Lacobie of Houston; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Meaux of Kaplan.
