Eldest Broussard Expires In Rayne
RAYNE, La. - Last rites will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the St. Joseph Catholic Church here for Eldest J. Broussard, 54, who died following a heart attack at 1:10 a.m. today in the Rayne Branch Hospital. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Until the time of rites the body will remain at the Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne.
Mr. Broussard operated a garage in Rayne for 35 years. He was a past president of the Rayne Young Men's Business Club.
Surviving are his wife, the former Rena Clement; three daughters, Mrs. Gerald Gossen and Mrs. Joe Larrivierre, both of Lafayette, and Miss Cynthia Broussard of Rayne; two sons, Darrell and Allen Broussard, both of Rayne, two stepchildren, Mrs. MAx Baer of Franklinton and Mrs. Louis C. Butaud, Jr., of Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers, Maxie of Meaux and Will Broussard of LeRoy; a sister, Mrs. Asa Cormier of LeRoy; and 14 grandchildren.
