Notes - Obituary:
Funeral services for Hynek Marek of Caldwell will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Bowers-Harvey-Schiller Funeral Home. Marek, 76, died in his home Wednesday afternoon.
The Rev. John J. Brazenec and the Rev. Henry E. Beseda will officiate with burial in the New Tabor Cemetery.
Marek was born March 16, 1892, in Burleson County. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Cooks Point Brethren Church and the VFW of Caldwell.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Annie S. Marek; four sons, Frank Marek of Dallas, Melvin Marek of Austin, Nelson L. Marek of Austin and Wilton J. Marek of Caldwell; two daughters, Mrs. Ellis C. Hunter of Austin and Mrs. Dan R. Sherfy of Houston; seven grandchildren; six brothers, Henry Marek and Roger Marek of Seymour, Rudolph Marek, Adolph Marek, Emil Marek, and Joseph Marek, all of Caldwell; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Matejka and Mrs. Walter Matejka of Caldwell, and Mrs. Emil Fick of Houston.
