    • Obituary:

      Ronald Gene Bailey, aged 49, passed away at home in Virginia Beach, VA on April 19th, 2010. He was born in Woodland Hills, California to Ralph and Ethel Bailey.

      Ron was a surveyor for the National Geodetic Survey for the past 20 years and he appreciated that the position had allowed him to travel to all but one of the fifty United States.

      Ron is survived by his wife, Laura Leche Bailey, who after having met 4 years ago married in October 2009. In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by his daughter, Neisha Bailey-Buck (Corey) and son, Randy Glen Bailey; his mother, Ethel Bailey; 3 brothers, Ralph, Rick, Mike; 1 half sister, Cindy; and his four grandchildren, Victoria, Nicholas, Ethan and Leah. He is predeceased by his father.

      The funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 24th, 2010, at the at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. The family will receive friends Friday evening also at the Kempsville Chapel, April 23rd, between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The City of Virginia Beach Emergency Services or your favorite charity.
