  Obituary: Jesse C. Russell, age 70, of Bastrop died Monday, July 19, 1993. He was past commander of V.F.W. Post 8787 of Austin, and was retired from the Austin State Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Johnnie Dee Russell of Bastrop; daughter, Linda Lollis of Austin; son, Jesse Wayne Russell and wife, Carmella of Austin; sisters, Bessie Herren of Humble, Texas, and Essie Upchurch of Bryan, Texas; two granddaughters, Tracy Auldrige and Amanda Russell; one great-granddaughter, Lauren; also, two stepdaughters, Connie Hoffmann of Austin and Clara Sharpe of Hamilton, Texas; and one step-son, Doug McCall of Arlington, Texas; special friend, Ida Russell; and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 21, 1993, in the Capital Memorial Park Cemetery. A special thanks to Mary Miller of the Lifeway Home Health Care.
