  Obituary: Rufus Gary Fruge' April 15, 1942 - December 13, 2021 A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Edmund Catholic Church in Branch for Rufus Gary Fruge', 79, who passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 10:15 P.M. at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette. Fr. Mikel Polson, Pastor of St. Michael Catholic Church in Crowley will be officiating for the services. Burial will be held in St. Edmund Catholic Church Cemetery in Branch. The family has requested the visitation to be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Church Point. Visitation will resume on Friday at 10:00 A.M. until time of service at St. Edmund Catholic Church in Branch. Survivors include two sons, Mike and wife, Courtney Fruge' of Crowley; Mark Fruge' of Branch; one daughter, Knekoh and husband, Chris Camacho of Los Angles, Calf.; six grandchildren, Mia and husband, Dustin Albaugh, Tristan, Aiden, Ian, and Annalise Fruge', Cassius Camacho and one great-granddaughter, Hadley Albaugh; two step grandsons, Jackson and Lawson Otten; also survived by another son, Jason Fruge'. Mr. Fruge' was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus "Nooksie" and Flossie "Pi" Fruge'; and one sister, Rita Kay Barousse.
