    • Obituary:

      Funeral Service Held Sunday For Rock Prairie Man

      Funeral services were held at Sanders-McCullough Funeral home Sunday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock for the late John Davis Warren, age 36 years, 7 months and 28 days, who died at his home on Route 3 in the Rock Prairie community Saturday afternoon at 4:15 o'clock, following a lingering illness. Rev. L. Whitehurst of Houston conducted the services at the funeral home and also at the grave in Millican cemetery.

      John Davis Warren enlisted in the United States Navy in 1920, and received honorable discharge from the service in 1921, with a disability, and has never been well since that time. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Inez Warren, one daughter, Aline, and two sons, Davis and Alton Warren. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Warren of Reliance community, one sister, Mrs. Bige Warren of Houston, and five brothers, Dean Warren of San Saba; Harland Warren, Reliance; Oatis Warren, Winters; Bailey Warren, Vernon, and Walter Warren of Houston.

      Pallbearers were: John German, W. D. Burkhalter, Otis Robertson, I. C. Burkhalter, Antone Rosprim and A. L. Simpson of Houston.

    • Obituary:

      J.D. Warren, age 37, of the Rock Prairie community, died Saturday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock after seventeen years of illness. Funeral services were held at 4:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Millican. He is survived by his wife and three children. Sanders-McCullough Company were in charge of the funeral arrangements. The sympathies of the Wellborn community are with the family.
