  Obituary: Rayne, LA - Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 3, 2021 at 10:30 am with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, LA for Warren Stephen McBride, 88, who died Saturday, May 1, 2021, surrounded by his children at his residence in Rayne, LA. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Mausoleum in Rayne, LA. Rev. Cedric Sonnier, Pastor of St. Mary Mother of the Church in Lafayette, LA will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Readers for the funeral Mass will be two grandsons, Pascal Lalande and Jacob Mooney. Warren and Ruth were owner/operators of McBride's Office Supply in Rayne for 38 years before retiring in 1995. He graduated from Rayne High School and went on to join the United States Navy serving in the Korean War. Then went to UL of Lafayette (USL). He was a member of the American Legion in Rayne, he served on the Rayne Beautification Board, he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Joseph Church Choir. Survivors include his three children, Bryan Stephen McBride and spouse Mary Beth Hebert McBride of Crowley, Katie McBride Lalande and spouse Mark Lalande of Lafayette, Lisa McBride Mooney and spouse Daniel Mooney of Rayne, eight grandchildren, Blake McBride, Andree Trahan Smith, Miles McBride, Mollie Mae McBride, Emily Lalande, Pascal Lalande, LeaAnne Mooney Forest and spouse Danny Forest, Jacob Mooney and great grandchildren, one brother, Harold McBride. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Cecile Thibodeaux McBride, one son, Carl Jeffery McBride, parents, Edward Scott McBride, Sr. and Zulma Plattsmier, two brothers, Edward McBride, Jr., Sidney James McBride, two sisters, Marilyn McBride LeLeux, Katherine McBride LeLeux. Pallbearers will be Blake McBride, Miles McBride, Mollie Mae McBride, Emily Lalande, Pascal Lalande, LeaAnne M. Forest, Jacob Mooney, Andree T. Smith. A Rosary will be prayed Sunday, May 2, 2021 at 6:00 pm in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA. The family requests that visitation be observed in Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA on Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm and on Monday, May 3, 2021 from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.
