Joyce Landry

Joyce Landry, 85, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in her residence.
She was a resident of Lake Charles for over 60 years and was a member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church. She had been a Hair Dresser since 1963. She enjoyed cleaning and also caring for her plants. Grocery shopping and cooking was a big love of hers. One of the many things she was able to do in her life which she was proud was be a part of the "Lee Jonet Show" on Channel 7 multiple times. Also, she worked at the "Fair Store" for many years. She loved QVC and was very faithful at watching it. Most of all she loved her family and was known for her great sense of humor.
She is survived by her son; one brother; one granddaughter; four great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by two husbands, Isom Roy and Frank L. Landry, Sr., her parents Anderson and Ozxia McBride, along with four brothers and four sisters.
Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 11:00am. Rev. Jody Blane Robert great nephew will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00am until service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Prien Memorial Park.
