Wilson DeRouen
Funeral services for Wilson DeRouen, 73, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 14, from Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Msrgr. Irving DeBlanc will officiate.
Burial will be Highland Memory Gardens under direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today, March 13, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Mr. DeRouen died Monday, March 11, 1991, in a Houston hospital. A charter member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, he was active in the Knights of Columbus and was an usher for 40 years. He was retired from Cities Service after 38 years of service, was a member of Carpenters Local 953 for 50 years and a delegate to the Metal Trades Council for 28 years.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Eva DeRouen; two sons, Ronney DeRouen of Lufkin, Texas, and Elden DeRouen of Spring, Texas; one daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Nettie) Landry of Moss Bluff; three brothers, Amos, Dewey and Ernest DeRouen, all of Lake Charles; three sisters, Lena LeBleu, Verdie LeJeune and Amy DeRouen, all of Lake Charles, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
