  Death Notice: Ruth Grumbles, 60, of Bryan died in a local nursing home Sunday afternoon. Funeral services are pending at Memorial Funeral Chapel. (Published in The Bryan-College Station Eagle on January 20, 1986) Obituary: Ruth Burkhalter Grumbles Ruth Burkhalter Grumbles, 60, of 2904 Montana Ave. in Bryan died in a local nursing home Sunday afternoon. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bob Owens officiating. Burial will be in Wellborn Cemetery. Mrs. Grumbles, born in College Station, had been a Brazos County resident most of her life. She was a member of Second Baptist Church in College Station. Survivors include her husband, Vonnie A. Grumbles of Bryan; two daughters, Kay McCool Perry of Bryan, Sue Abate of Hearne; a brother, Lanny Burkhalter of Stafford; and six grandchildren.
