      John B. Searson
      June 25, 1944 - June 24, 2023

      John B. Searson passed away on June 24, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on June 25, 1944 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Glee Searson and Clara Jones Searson. John was devoted to his family and enjoyed opportunities to hunt, fish, and enjoy the outdoors with them at their beautiful farm in Junction, Tx. John was a proud Member and Past Master of the Alamo Masonic Lodge No. 44, and served alongside his wife as Member and Past Patron of the Alamo Heights Chapter #734 of the Eastern Star. John was an avid bowler, loved his Razorbacks, Cardinals, and the hometown Spurs, and served at the United States Post Office for 32 years. John was loved and appreciated as a friend, leader, father, grandfather, uncle and so much more, and will be missed dearly.

      John was preceded in death by his daughter, Becky Searson; sister, Twila Jasper; and brother, Glee Searson. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Kay Searson; daughters, Kathy Odam (and husband, CJ) and Donna Childers-Thirkell; brother, Chuck Searson; and grandchildren, Sebastian Searson, Addison and Macy Odam.

      SERVICES

      Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 beginning at 11:00am, followed by a chapel service at 12:00pm at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #3.
