• Notes

  Obituary: Graveside services for Mrs. Sybil Houston Goodgion, 74, of Shreveport, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 18, 1982, at Forest Park Cemetery. Dr. N.O. Pugh, Minister of Senior Adults, of First Baptist Church, will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Wellman Funeral Home. Visitation will be at Wellman's Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., Monday. Mrs. Goodgion died Saturday, October 16, 1982, at Schumpert Medical Center, of a sudden illness. A resident of Shreveport most of her life, Mrs. Goodgion was a member of Highland Baptist Church and Highlanders Senior Choir. Survivors include: a son, Ernest Randolph Goodgion of Willows, California; two daughters, Sybil Ruth Goodgion Clarke, of Shreveport and Nancy Elizabeth Goodgion Mook, of Metairie, La.; a brother, Lonnie G. Houston, of Beaumont, Texas; a sister, Margaret Houston LeBlanc, of College Station, Texas; and six grandchildren. Pallbearers are: Harvey B. Ratcliffe, Walton M. Ray, Joe O. Theriot, and grandsons; Cadet H. Grant Clarke, Daniel H. Clarke and John Ernest Mook. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the donor's choice.
