  Obituary: Dorothy Palmer Dorothy Palmer, age 88 of Center, passed away Monday Oct. 20, 2008 at her home in Center. Services will be 10:00 am ~ Friday Oct. 24, 2008 at St. Therese Catholic Church in Center.Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Rosary will be Thursday following visitation at 7:00 pm at Mangum Funeral Home with Father Jose Luis officiating, burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park. She was born August 22, 1920 in Port Arthur to parents, Paul & Ada (Talbot) Abshire. She was a member of the St. Therese Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents and her Step Mother Bertha Abshire, Brother, Abbie Paul Abshire and Sister, Agnes Arnold.
