      Martha "Marty" B. Prudhomme
      October 18, 1946 - December 25, 2024
      Mandeville, Louisiana

Martha "Marty" B. Prudhomme was called home by the Lord on December 25, 2024 at the age of 78. She was born in New Orleans on October 18, 1946. A graduate of St. Bernard High School, she studied Music at the University of Southwestern Louisiana where she met her husband, William J. "Bill" Prudhomme. They married on April 6, 1968 and had been married 56 years at the time of her death. They have two grown children: Michael (Amy) Prudhomme and Rebecca P. Hair; three grandchildren Andrew Hair (Meredith), Scott Huffman (Kelly) and Kaitlin Prudhomme; and six great grandchildren Gavin, Savannah, Ayden, Silas, Alianna Faith, Valencia Grace.

In the 1970's, Marty made a full life's commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ. She told Him she would go anywhere in the world that He would send her to share the good news of His salvation. God heard her prayers, and He began to open doors of ministry around the world. Her evangelistic outreaches included trips to: the Philippines, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Costa Rica, Panama, Canada, England, France, Belgium, and Mexico.

She became involved in her local church, sang solos for church services and weddings, taught Bible studies and was a member of local chapter of the interdenominational ministry of Aglow International.

Marty's faithfulness and passion for God showed throughout her life as she lived to share the love of the Lord with others. She had a heart of compassion and always saw the good in people while active in the community providing comfort, prayer, and encouragement for those in need.

As an artist, she expressed her creativity through many artistic endeavors. One avenue was creating beautiful acrylic paintings of vibrant color on large canvasses that are displayed in many homes throughout Louisiana. She also started her own line of artsy jewelry calling it "Heavenly Designs by Marty." Her business card read, "God takes the broken pieces of our lives and makes something beautiful." The proceeds of her sales always went to missions and to fund her international Christian missionary trips.

Marty was a prolific author of short stories, devotional articles and spiritually encouraging books. She wrote articles for Guideposts, Daily Bread and other devotionals. Millions of people have been touched by her words. Her two published books are "How to Pray and Never Run Out of Words" and "The King's Garden", both available at Amazon.com.

This sums up her life of service: "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 5:16

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Lakeshore Church, 15261 Brewster Road, Covington, LA 70433 on January 10, 2025 at 10a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lakeshore Church.
