Jaylen Dionte Hunt, 13, of 140 Edward St., Branchville, died Sunday, June 12, 2011, at his residence after an extended illness.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Orangeburg.

Jaylen Dionte Hunt
Funeral services for Jaylen Dionte Hunt, 14, of 140 Edward St., Branchville, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011, at Bethel Fellowship Church, Columbia Road, Orangeburg.
The Rev. Alan Woodward will officiate. Pallbearers will be cousins. Burial will be in Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Orangeburg. Thompson Funeral Home Inc. in Orangeburg is in charge of arrangements. He died Sunday, June 12, at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born May 7, 1997, in Ladson, the son of Anna Hunt. He was a student at Edisto Elementary School. He spent most of his time during the day smiling, laughing and playing with balls. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Wake Hunt Sr.
Survivors include his mother, Anna Hunt of Orangeburg; grandmother, Ruby B. Hunt of Orangeburg; six uncles, Arthur Hunt of Cope, Terry Hunt of Texas, Wake Hunt Jr. of Allendale, Allan Hunt of Cope and Michael Darby of Cordova; three aunts, Matilda Hunt of Cope, Virginia Darby of Cordova and Tammy Hunt of Branchville; and a number of cousins.
The family will receive friends at the residence, 140 Edward St., Branchville. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Bethel Fellowship Church in Orangeburg.
