      Herman R. Bourgeois

      Herman R. Bourgeois, 67, of 1914 Bowie, West Orange, died early today in his home following a long illness.

      Services are pending at Dorman Funeral Home in Little Cypress.
      He was born in Church Point, La. and lived in this area for 55 years. He was a retired mechanic from Gulf Chemical Co.

      He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and Korean Conflict.

      Herman R. Bourgeois

      Funeral for Herman R. Bourgeois, 67, of 1914 Bowie, West Orange, will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Dorman Funeral Home in Little Cypress.

      The Rev. William Manger, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church, will officiate. A rosary will be recited today at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

      He died Thursday about 5 a.m. in his home after an illness. Flo Edgerly, justice of peace of Precinct 3, ruled death due to natural causes.

      A native of Church Point, La., he lived in West Orange 55 years and was retired from Gulf Chemical. He was a lieutenant for the Orange Sheriff Reserve Division, a member of the Orange Post 2775, Veterans of Foreign Wars and was a member of the Citizens Radio Assistance Corp and was a former employee of Noguess Funeral Home of Bridge City. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a veteran of the Korean conflict.

      Survivors include his wife, Margaret Bourgeois of West Orange; one son, Robert Bourgeois of Orange; one daughter, Melanie Bourgeois of West Orange; one brother, S.A. "Booty" Bourgeois of Pinehurst; two sisters, Vivian Carr of Galena Park and Nora Lee Sanders of Port Neches.
