Ernest T. Sanders
Ernest T. Sanders, 79, of Port Neches, died Sunday, March 14, 2004, at Cypress Glen East in Port Arthur.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday Claybar Funeral Home in Orange. Reverend Lynn Ashcraft, pastor of North Orange Baptist Church, will officiate.
Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Orange.
Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Born in Deweyville on November 20, 1924, Mr. Sanders was a lifelong area resident.
He retired from DuPont Beaumont Works where he was a maintenance supervisor. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a 32nd Degree Mason, member of Madison Lodge 126 AF&AM, the Scottish Rite in Galveston and North Orange Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Nora Lee Sanders of Port Neches; daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Doug Schell of Bridge City; son, Steven C. Sanders of Houston; brothers, Archie Sanders and Wayne Sanders, both of Beaumont; sisters, Mildred Bush of Nederland, Maxine Tremont of Missouri City; grandchildren, Christopher Schell, Katy Schell; great grandson, Blake Schell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
