MRS. L. D. HOFFPAUIR
ANAHUAC - Last rites were conducted Tuesday morning in the Catholic Church here with burial at City Cemetery for Mrs. L. D. Hoffpauir of Anahuac, 18, who died instantly Sunday in an auto-truck collision.
Sheriff Louis Otter said that after rounding a curve her car hit headon with a pulpwood truck driven by Ed Wiley, Negro, who was taken to the county hospital with head injuries, broken ribs, multiple cuts and bruises.
Surviving Mrs. Hoffpauir are: Her husband; parents, Mrs. Vera Mae Simon and John Simon of Anahuac; sister, Mrs. Sylvia Park of Thibodaux, La.; brother, Sherman Simon of Anahuac; grandparents, Mrs. Ida Robin of Jennings, La., Mrs. Sid Rasberry of Wallisville and Volley Steen of Baytown.
