      J. P. Adams Funeral To Be Wednesday

      James Prescott Adams, 77 year-old retired Madison County rancher, died Monday morning at his Bryan residence, 506 W. 27th Street.

      Adams, who retired and moved to Bryan in 1940, was born Sept. 7, 1883, in North Zulch. Funeral services are slated for 2 PM Wednesday at Willow Hole Baptist Church in Madison County with the Rev. Van Sickle of North Zulch officiating. Burial will be in Willow Hole Cemetery.

      Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dona Adams of Bryan; three sons, Herbert of Bryan; James A. of Mississippi and John Q. of Houston; five daughters, Mrs. Royce Lewis of Lubbock, Mrs. Eugene Arensberg of Houston, Mrs. Robert Speckman of Houston, Mrs. Henry Khron of North Zulch and Mrs. Otha Jefferies, also of North Zulch; three sisters, Mrs. Sam Sanders and Mrs. A. W. Folson of North Zulch and Miss Dolly Adams of Hearne.

      Callaway-Jones Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
