Notes - Obituary:
Richard Anthony Daigle
January 30, 1932 - June 5, 2024
Richard Anthony Daigle, age 92, passed from this life on June 5, 2024, in El Paso, Texas. He was born to Frank Daigle Sr. and Laura Marie Leblanc Daigle on January 30, 1932, in Lafayette, Louisiana. A man of stalwart dedication, Richard served honorably in the United States Air Force before pursuing a career as an Accountant Clerk with The El Paso Gas Company.
Upon retirement, Richard enjoyed his days engaging in his favorite pastimes, which included a passion for knowledge and the thrill of a well-played wager. He reveled in the love of his family, the pleasure of a good meal, and the joy of conversation and laughter. His sense of humor and the pleasure he took in life's celebrations, especially Mardi Gras, will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Richard is survived by his sister, Mary Helen Borel; his son, Eric Swayne Daigle; granddaughter Amanda Lynne Daigle Etzel, her husband Clayton Lee Etzel; great-grandchildren Harbor Lee, Maverick Lee, Daisy Mae, Gunner James, Tucker James, and Ellie Mae Etzel. He was preceded in death by his life partner, Mildred Louise Frederick; his mother, Laura Marie Leblanc Daigle; father, Frank Daigle Sr.; and siblings Laura Anne, John Harry, Charles Martin, James Joseph Paul, Jack William, Frank Vincent, and Bro. Thomas Michael Daigle.
In lieu of floral tributes, the family respectfully suggests that memorials in Richard's honor be directed to a hospice organization of your choice, to support the compassionate care provided to those at the end of their earthly journey.
The family extends their gratitude to Mt. Carmel Funeral Home in El Paso, Texas, for their dignified and caring assistance during this time. Richard's legacy of laughter, love, and loyalty will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
