      Body of Woman Found Today At Residence

      The body of Mrs. Eurella Marks Daigle, 48, was found today at her residence at 343 Gradnigo Island Road, just inside the city limits, it was reported by the Opelousas Police Department.

      Death appeared to have resulted from natural causes, according to reports from the office of Chief of Police Earl Guidroz, but St. Landry Parish Coroner Dr. A.E. Williams was to perform an autopsy today.

      Ptn. P.G. Stansbury and Ptn. Robert Lee Smith reported that the woman was found dead shortly after 8 a.m. today by her husband, Harry Daigle.

      The body was taken to the First National Funeral Home here.

      No further details were available by noon today.

      Arnaudville - Funeral services were last Thursday in St. Francis Regis Catholic Church for Mrs. John Harry Daigle, 48, the former Mary Urella Marks who died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 3 at her home in Opelousas. Burial was in the church cemetery.

      She is survived by her husband, John Harry Daigle; one daughter, Laura Ann Daigle of Opelousas; her mother, Mrs. Raymond Marks of Arnaudville.

      She was a member of the St. Landry Parish Teachers Association.

      Melancon Funeral Home of Arnaudville was in charge of arrangements.
