    • Death Notice:

      Billie Jo (Fanette) Dixon, 71, of Navasota, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at her residence. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota. Services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home.

      Mrs. Billie Jo Fannette Dixon, 71, of Navasota passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at her residence. The family will receive visitors from 5-7pm Tuesday, July 26, and funeral services are set for 10am Wednesday, both at Nobles Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Wheat Cemetery in Millican.

      Billie Jo was born in Houston on August 23, 1939, the daughter of Benjamin and Laura (Greer) Fannette. In September of 1955, she married Autry Dixon in Navasota and loved him for 55 years.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Barbara Martin and Vera Carr.

      Survivors include her husband; daughter and son-in-law, Priscilla Rose and Kirby Pepper of Longview; son, Paul Dixon of Navasota; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sara and William McDaniel of Angleton, Elaine and Clint Trcnak of Tyler, Marie Fazzino of Millican and Kay Williams of Bryan; brothers and sisters-in-law, Andrew and Mary Fannette of Jacksonville, and B.L. and Fleeta Fannette of Millican; granddaughter, Nicole Rose Pepper of Longview; and numerous nieces and nephews.

      Serving as pallbearers are Paul Dixon of Navasota, Kirby Pepper of Longview, Clint Trcnak of Tyler, Jimmy Fridel of Millican, John Fazzino of College Station and Darrell Carr of Henderson. Honorary pallbearers are Bill McDaniel of Angleton and Eric Medina of Millican.
