      William "Bill" Kenneth McDaniel
      August 4, 1926 - April 11, 2025
      Angleton

      William Kenneth McDaniel, 98, of Angleton passed away on April 11, 2025, in Houston. Bill began his life journey on August 4, 1926, in Houston to parents William Rogers and Lutie (Lynch) McDaniel.

      He married Sara Lea Fannette on November 29, 1948, in Houston, Texas.

      Bill, who was an accomplished musician, proudly served in the United States Army and was the first Captain of the Angleton Police Reserves, the first in the state of Texas. He coached Little League and served as a Boy Scout leader. Bill was an avid stamp collector who has won many awards and served as judge at stamp shows all over the nation. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and The Commanders. He was active in his church and sang in the choir.

      He worked at DOW Chemical Company for 39 1/2 years.

      Those that preceded him in death include his parents William and Lutie McDaniel; son Bill McDaniel , daughter Kathy McDaniel.

      Left to remember him are his wife Sara McDaniel, daughter Donna Koks, grandson William Koks and wife Carrie, great grandchildren Lilly and Wyatt.

      Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery.

      The family would like to thank the doctors at Methodist Hospital and Houston Hospice.
