MCDANIEL
Services for SARA KATHLEEN MCDANIEL, 41, of Bellaire, will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church in Angleton. Burial will follow in Angleton Cemetery. McDaniel died Monday 6-24-91 in Houston. McDaniel, formerly of Angleton, was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Angleton. She held an FCC License, and worked in public relations for Houston Radio Stations, KENR, KILT, and KIKK, where she did commercials, news, and sports. She also worked for the Credit Bureau of Greater Houston. In 1987, she was employed by the Trans-Union Credit Information Company, and established the company's first office in Texas. She held several offices in National, Regional, State, and Local I.C.A. Leadership Offices. She belonged to Credit Women International, International Credit Assn., The Republican Senatorial Inner Circle, and was active in Legislative Committee work in the credit industry. Awards she earned were: Trans-Union Golden Circle Award, '87, '88, '89; Trans-Union Presidents's Cup Award Winner, '89, L.C.A. of Houston, Credit Executive of The Year, '87; I.C.A. Distinguished Service Award, '88; I.C.A. Of Houston Sneed Award, '89, and Houston Women Volunteers Award, '89, Presented by Federation of Houston Professional Women. Survivors include her parents, Bill and Sara McDaniel; grandmother, Mrs. Johnnie Burkhalter, sister, Donna Koks, and nephew, Will Koks. In lieu of usual remembrances, make donations to First United Methodist Church or Angleton Cemetery Beautification Fund. Arrangements are by PALMS FUNERAL HOME in Angleton, 409-849-4343.
