      Mark Charles Trail
      September 13, 1955 - July 29, 2024

Mark Charles Trail, 68, passed away on July 29, 2024. Mark was born on September 13, 1955 in Augsburg, Germany to Iona (Walker) and Robert Trail.

Mark grew up in the Belton and Rio Grande area. Began his career in the oilfields until his retirement with Patterson UTI, Victoria, TX.

Mark loved and cherished his family. His three grandchildren kept him going. Loved teaching them to fish and enjoy the outdoors. His passion was saltwater fishing. Always keeping an eye out for weather conditions and the tides. Love of fishing was always there. He may have appeared to rough and gruff, but loved watching the Hallmark movies at Christmas time.

In addition, he loved rockhounding in New Mexico and Colorado. But his greatest enjoyment was prospecting for gold in Alaska. Fortunately he was able to spend a week in Nome in 2023 doing what he loved

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Huckaby Trail, daughter, Lauren (Darrel) Yeates, Grandchildren, Lacey and Daniel, his sister Becky (Bob) Stevens of Syracuse Utah, nephews. Michael and Robert Stevens, brother-in-laws Robert (Brenda Schindler) Huckaby of La Grange, TX, and Ray Huckaby of Robertson County, TX.
