  Obituary: Clifton E. Cook, age 70, of Coleman, Texas passed away Sunday, July 8, 2001, at 2 p.m. at the VA Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Memorial services will be Saturday at 9:00a.m. at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel of Coleman with Father Leonard Goettemoeller of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating. Clifton was born April 12, 1931 in Pharr, Texas to the late Ben D. and April Leona Hanson Cook. He was reared in Edinburg and attended the Edinburg Schools and was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. Clifton married Kimberly Lumingkit on November 22, 1986 in the Philippines and they had celebrated 14 years of marriage. He had been a resident of Coleman since 1997 and was a member of the Catholic Church. Clifton had retired following 37 years as a crop duster pilot. Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Cook, of Coleman, Texas; two sisters, Dorene Devine of McAllen, Texas and Rosalee Frost of Arizona; two brothers, Jack Cook of Edinburg, Texas and Col. William Cook of San Antonio, Texas. He was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Cook, in 1991. (Published in the Coleman Chronicle and Democrat-Voice on July 17, 2001)
