    • Obituary:

Timothy Roy Nix was born on September 24, 1891 in Erath County, Texas. He came to this county in 1914, and has lived for the most of the time since then on the farm of Mrs. Joe Macha, in Cache Creek community.

On Dec. 19th, Mr. Nix became ill and was taken to the Baylor County Hospital. He died there at 9 o'clock that night.

Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ on Dec. 12th, at 3:00p.m. Minister W.E. Burkham was in charge of the services. Interment was in the original Seymour cemetery, with arrangements in charge of the Harrison Funeral Home. Nephews of the deceased were pallbearers. Also assisting with the services was Minister Douglas Cox of Red Springs.

Mr. Nix is survived by his wife; by a son at home, Hubbard Leroy Nix; a son in the armed forces in Germany, Robert Nix; two daughters, Mrs. J.E. Brown and Mrs. Bud Vickers of Seymour; and six grandchildren.

Mr. Nix united with the Church of Christ in early life, and has always lived a good and consistent Christian life. He has been a good citizen, neighbor and friend, and has tried to be useful during the span of years God game him in this world. The bereaved family has the sincere sympathy of the community in the sudden loss of their loved one.
