Notes - Obituary:
OPELOUSAS - Funeral services for Paul Gautreaux, 51, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church here with burial following in the Bellevue Memorial Park.
Mr. Gautreaux, a native of Lewisburg and resident of Opelousas, died at 4:50 p.m. Friday at Doctors' Hospital in Opelousas following a short illness.
He was retired from the Opelousas Police Department and was a member of Hope, Hook and Ladder Company, Louisiana State Fireman's Association, Louisiana Peace Officers Association, Municipal Peace Officers Association, Woodmen of the World Camp 47, and the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include one son, Lance Mark Gautreaux, of Opelousas; two daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Amy) Lafleur, of Carencro and Mrs. Chad (Paula) Soileau, of Aiea, Hawaii; one brother, John Gautreaux, of Sunset; two sisters, Mrs. Edmond (Jeanette) Thibodeaux, and Mrs. Harold (Allee) Ray, both of Opelousas, and one grandchild.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. till 10 p.m. Sunday and from 7 a.m. till time of service on Monday. A rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday.
Lafond-Ardoin of Opelousas on North Main is in charge of arrangements.
