Notes - Obituary:
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the St. Landry Catholic Church for Louis Cummings, 92, of Opelousas, who died at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday in the Opelousas General Hospital following a six-week illness.
Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Church Point directed by Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home on N. Main St.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elmer (Irene) Guillory of Opelousas; two sons, A.B. (T-See) Cummings of Opelousas and E.R. (Boncho) Cummings of Baton Rouge; a step-daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Gautreaux of Opelousas; a step-son, Ebenezer Miller of Opelousas; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren and 29 step great-grandchildren.
The funeral home will close at 10 o'clock tonight and re-open at 7 a.m. tomorrow morning until time of services.
A rosary will be said at 7 o'clock tonight.
