Miller Rites Set in Baton Rouge Today
Final rites for J.M. Miller Sr., 59, of Baton Rouge, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Baton Rouge. Burial will be in Green Oak cemetery there.
Miller died at 2:15 a.m. today at Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was a native of Church Point. He was employeed by Humble Oil and Refining Co. for the past 29 years.
Survivors are his widow, the former Seida Albin of Baton Rouge; two sons, J.M. Miller, Jr. of Shreveport and Roy Miller of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs. Elaine M. Russell and Mrs. Lelia M. Johnson, both of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Linda M. Borskey of Lafayette; one brother, Ebenezer Miller, and one sister, Mrs. Lawrence Gautreaux, both of Opelousas; his step-father, Louis Cummings of Opelousas; two half-brothers, A.B. Cummings of Opelousas and Edwin R. Cummings of Baton Rouge; a half-sister, Mrs. Elmer Guillory of Opelousas; and seven grandchildren.
