Arthur Duane Hunt
Arthur Duane Hunt, 50, of 430 Hills Road, Cope, died Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Alan Woodward officiating.
He was born June 28, 1963 in Weslaco, Texas. He was the son of the late Wake Hunt and the late Ruby Blaskowsky Hunt. He was an owner and operator truck driver. He regularly attended Canaan Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews, Jaylen Hunt and Durant Darby.
Survivors include a daughter, Lauren Hunt of Cope; a son, A.J. Hunt of Cope; two grandchildren, Makenzie and Noah Cornelius; three sisters, Tillie Hunt of Cope, Ginny Darby (Mike) of Cordova, and Anna Hunt of St. George; four brothers, Terry Hunt (Tammy) of Branchville, Jerry Hunt of Texas, Wake Hunt Jr. of Allendale, Allan Hunt (Miranda) of Cope; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 7, at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. in Orangeburg.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of their friends and to everyone for the many phone calls, prayers and kindness shown to them during Arthur's illness.
