  Obituary: GERRY A. POTEET 69, of Paris, died at 2:50 AM Saturday January 13, 2007 in Paris. Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM Monday January 15, 2007 at Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Othoe Stegall officiating. Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements. Mr. Poteet was born September 1, 1937 in Paris to Jack and Emma Gene Carter Poteet. He graduated from Paris High School and attended Paris Junior College. Mr. Poteet was an aviation mechanic having worked at Bell Helecopter Corp. in Ft. Worth for several years. He was a member of the Church of God. Mr. Poteet is survived by a daughter, Terri Dawn Peterson and husband, Craig of Big Spring, TX; two grandchildren, Taylor and Alexi Peterson; his mother Emma Gene Poteet of Paris; two sisters, Brenda Crumley and husband, Charles of College Station, TX and Sandra Anderson of Tyler, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Jackie Bennett Poteet; one sister, Jean Ann Poteet; and one brother, Don Poteet. (Published by Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home of Paris, TX)
