Funeral Services Held Tuesday For Robert B. Floyd
Robert Blake Floyd, 45, passed away at 7:30 a.m. Monday, June 13, at the Brazos Valley Hospital in Navasota.
Mr. Floyd was born in Navasota September 27, 1914, the son of Minnie Ann Kelley and Will Floyd and had been a life-long resident of Navasota.
He owned and operated a diary at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Gladys Greer Floyd of Navasota; one daughter, Miss Dianne Floyd of Navasota; one son, Robert Blake Floyd, Jr. of Navasota; two sisters, Mrs. Jim McDonald of Navasota and Mrs. B. C. McCallum of Bryan; and one brother, Dan Ike Floyd of Anderson.
Funeral services for Mr. Floyd were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, from the chapel of the Lindley-Robertson Funeral Home in Navasota, with the Rev. E. H. Crouch, pastor of the Memorial Baptist Church of Navasota, officiating.
Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.
Pallbearers ere Bernard Floyd of Roans Prairie, Vernon Floyd, Ira M. Floyd, Sr., John F. Thomas, all of Navasota, Norman Bounds of Anderson and Jack Baker McGinty of Yarboro.
