      Floyd 'Jack' Conrad
      June 22, 1923 - April 22, 1997

      Services for Floyd "Jack" Conrad, 73, of Tabor community are set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Chapel.

      The Rev. Don Smith of Alexander Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Alexander Cemetery.

      Visitation is set for 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Mr. Conrad died Tuesday morning in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.

      He was born in Brazos County and was a lifelong resident of Bryan.

      He was a member of Alexander Methodist Church and a member of the Masonic Cedar Creek Lodge in Kurten, Sons of Herman No. 99, the American Legion Post No. 159 and V.F.W. Post No. 4692.

      He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during World War II in the 776th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion.

      Survivors include his wife, Mildred Conrad of Tabor community; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Tammy Conrad, K.C. and "Pee-Wee" Conrad and John T. and Dana Conrad, all of Tabor community; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and James Shepard of Kennard, Texas, and Susan Prihoda of Tabor community; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Vaughan "Benny" and Sue Conrad of Wixon Valley and Ervin and Louise Conrad of North Zulch; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
