      Alice Vincent

      Alice Vincent, 72, of College Station died Wednesday morning at home.

      Funeral arrangements are pending with Memorial Funeral Chapel.

      Alice M. Vincent
      Aug. 8, 1923 - April 19, 1995

      Services for Alice M. Vincent,71, of College Station will be 2 p.m. today at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.

      The Rev. Michael Mulvey, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Bryan City Cemetery.

      Visiting hours will be 8 a.m. to noon today at Memorial Funeral Chapel. A rosary was recited Thursday night.

      Mrs. Vincent died at home on Wednesday morning.

      She was born in West and had lived in Bryan-College Station for 55 years. Before her retirement, Mrs. Vincent worked for the Texas A&M Poultry Science Department for 23 years.

      She was an active member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and was an active member of several civic organizations including the March of Dimes, St. Joseph volunteer program, Senior Friends of Humana and St. Vincent DePaul Society.

      Mrs. Vincent served as secretary of the Raintree Homeowners' Association and as secretary of the Texas Poultry Federation.

      Family members said she will be remembered for her sincere heart, loyalty and dedication to her family, friends and church. They said she will also be remembered for the smile she placed in everyone's hearts.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Agnes Barta Plsek; and four brothers, Fred Plsek, Bennie Plsek, Robert Plsek and Edward Plsek.

      Survivors include her husband of 49 years, James E. "Jim" Vincent of College Station; a son, Milton "Bubba" Vincent of College Station; a daughter and son-in-law, Jimann and Scott Harmon of Garland; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Bob Wilcox of Grove; and 10 grandchildren.

      In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 8101 E. Texas 6, College Station, 77845.
