Stephens Sr., Lt. Colonel Gene S. (USAF Retired)
      November 11, 1929 - June 4, 2024

Up Up and away, into the wild blue yonder!

Gene (Bud) Stephens, beloved Father, died peacefully, on June 4, 2024, at the age of 94.

Gene was born in Carlos, Texas to parents George and Hattie Mae Stephens.

He graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Physical Education 1955 and the USAF flight school. Gene flew numerous combat missions during the Vietnam War, in the F-4 Tactical Fighter, and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Gene was an avid Outdoorsman and loved Scuba Diving earning the nickname "Superfish" as nobody was capable of keeping up with him underwater. An avid hunter and fisherman he was also a wonderful storyteller and could always make those in his circle laugh out loud when describing his adventures.

Gene is survived by his son Gene (Steve) Stephens Jr and his daughters Victoria Stephens and Ana Nicasio.

      He will be dearly missed.
