- Obituary:
Larry Walker, also known as Dabber, of Paoli, left to be with Jesus on April 3, 2016 at the age of 62.
He was born December 10, 1953 in Monticello, Arkansas to Jake and Doris Walker. He was raised in Monticello, Arkansas and later moved to Pauls Valley. He and Laura Garmany were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on November 24, 1981. They have made Paoli their home for the past 14 years. He worked as a Boiler Maker in High Pressure Welding, Fabrication and Installation. He was well known as the "Boiler Doctor" since he had spent 40 years repairing and installing boilers. Larry loved many things, but spending time with family took precedence over all. He was a member of Paoli Pentecostal Church.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Jake and Doris Walker; his brother, Frankie Walker and sister, Wanda Smith.
Surviving family include his wife, Laura Walker of the home; his daughter and son-in-law, Micki and Greg Cottrell, and grandson, Jake Cottrell; his son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Dana Stecker, and granddaughters, Kaitlyn Alexander and Amber Misenheimer; great-grandchildren, Keaton, Alayna and Brayden; his brothers and sisters, Gloria Perry of Bryan, Texas; Ronnie Walker of Hamberg, Arkansas; Brenda Nickell of Midland, Texas; Diane Johnson of Monticello, Arkansas; Pam Lillian of Santa Clarita, California; Glen Walker of Monticello, Arkansas; Dale Walker of Monticello, Arkansas; and Paul Walker of Monticello, Arkansas; sisters-in-law, Kathy Gibbs of Wynnewood; Cheryl Gray of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Lisa Adkins of Moore; brother-in-law, Edward Garmany, of Paoli; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Paoli Pentecostal Church officiated by Rev. Terry Erwin. Interment will be at Paoli Cemetery.
