  Obituary: Welma E. Hovis, 67, of Marble Hill died Dec. 25, 2007, at Elder Care of Marble Hill. She was born June 30, 1940, in Bollinger County, daughter of Lucus and Ona Gattis Simmons. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Wallace of Lexington, KY; two brothers, Glen Simmons of Marble Hill, MO and Francis Nations of Zoe, KY. The funeral will be Monday at Hutchings Funeral Chapel, with Kelly Francis officiating. Burial will be in McGee Chapel Cemetery. (Published in The Southeast Missourian on December 29, 2007)
