Mr. David Reece Martin, 56, of Eastland died Sunday, December 21, at an Eastland hospital. He was born October 19, 1941 in Hillsboro, son of Claude and Illa Mae Seay Martin. He attended Hillsboro High School and four years at Hill College. He served 20 years in the U. S. Navy. He was a certified dispatcher working for Eastland County Dispatch, Eastland County Cooperative and Hillsboro Police Department for several years. He married Martha Jane Mann on October 20, 1991 in Hillsboro. Survivors include: his wife; three children, Ellie Martin of Fort Worth, Kevin Martin of Glenn Heights and Jonathan Martin of Eastland; three stepchildren, Nancy Dool, Laney Porter and James Vinson, all of Ranger; one sister, Claudette Flaherty of Hillsboro; two grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and two great-great-nieces. Graveside srvices with full military honors wre held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 23, at Ridge Park Cemertery in Hillsboro with Rev. Reggie Melvin officiating.
