      Sharon Kay Vessels, 48, of Wills Point passed away on April 30, 2009 at her residence.

      Sharon was born on January, 18, 1961 in Mangum, Oklahoma, the daughter of Wilbert and Janette (Halford) Thompson. They moved to Texas when she was a young child. She married John Vessels on March 29, 1980. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. She loved sharing the great outdoors, camping and fishing with her family. Sharon worked as a nurses aide and was of the Baptist faith.

      She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

      Survivors: husband, John Vessels of Hillsboro; mother, Janette Fitzsimmons and husband, John; father, Wilbert Thompson and wife, Becky; children, Matthew Shane Thompson and wife, Alisha of Amarillo, Jason David Vessels of Corpus Christi, Shawn Allen Vessels of Fort Hood; brothers, Wilbert Dewayne Thompson of Louisiana, Christopher Clyde Thompson of Oklahoma; sisters, Vickie Lea Stewart, Debra Sue Blyth, Susan Evette Thompson all of Wylie, Kimberly Jo Muggli of Amarillo; stepbrother and stepsister, Scott and Colleen Fitzsimmons; grandchildren, Bailey Dakota Thompson, Shawn Thompson, Adain Jacob Thompson, Jordan Matthew Thompson, Evan Vessels; many nieces and nephews.
