Notes - Obituary:
SHAWNEE, Dec. 8 - Services for Calvin B. Pearce, 85, a retired contractor, will be at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Gaskill funeral chapel. Rev. R. Scott Baird, pastor of the First Christian church, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
Pearce, a resident of Shawnee since 1923, died late Sunday in his home here. He came here from Whitesboro, Texas. He was born in Lebanon, Tenn. Pearce and his wife would have celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary December 24.
Pearce was a member of the First Christian church and was a former deacon of the church. He also was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge, which will conduct graveside services.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. M. B. Dowdell and Mrs. W. E. Colb, both of Sherman, Texas, and Mrs. Fred Baxter, Shawnee.
